Thanks to its wide slopes, over 100 square kilometers of skiable surface with very long slopes for snowboarding in powder, along with its Snowparks, Livigno has now become a true paradise and popular destination for snowboarders. Thanks to its great ability to innovate and keep up with the latest market trends, Livigno has always been at the forefront with suitable facilities guaranteed by quality ski lifts and careful management. Therefore, board enthusiasts can perform their spectacular evolutions in half pipes, on jumps and border cross tracks, in dedicated areas, equipped with kickers of various size, funboxes, rails and other structures in total freedom and safety.

Livigno is a sunny valley that offers 150 square kilometers of pristine areas, that you can reach only and exclusively with your own legs. Thanks to its 1816m of altitude, it offers one of the longest ski seasons of the year. In this regard, the most experienced and adventurous skiers can practice ski mountaineering in Livigno since the very first snowfall, as early as mid-November!

Livigno is one of the reference destinations for cross-country ski tracks, since this sport can be practiced even in autumn: the winter season starts indeed from mid-October with the opening of the ring dedicated to cross-country skiing, which is made using the snow stored by the Snowfarm in summer; in this way, sports teams and enthusiasts can benefit from real snow even out of season. A 30km track winds its way from the areas of Forcola and Alpe Vago, so professional athletes as well as amateurs can train along it at high altitude. “Marianna Longa”, a nearly 5-km long technical track that includes different slopes for a truly complete workout, is also part of this large open-air stadium. Moreover, at the Cross-Country Stadium you can access free changing rooms or book a lesson with cross-country ski instructors.

THE MAGIC OF WALKING ON THE SNOW ON YOUR TIPTOE.
Snowshoeing represents a winter version of hiking. By using the popular snowshoes, called "drezola" in Livigno's dialect and used by mountaineers to move in the cold season, you can walk through the woods and wonderful valleys that seem to fall asleep in winter, and admire several animals living there.

The gestures and ancient rituals of this primordial skiing technique find in Livigno's immense snowy expanses the perfect location for their practicing.
Telemarking is a variant of alpine skiing in which you use a pair of special skis that leave your heel free.
The greatest difference lies in the turning technique. In order to turn, the skier must indeed bring the downstream ski forward and bring the upstream ski backward. To do this, you must kneel as if you were doing a lunge. It goes without saying that Telemarking requires a mix of coordination, flexibility and strength that is not required by “normal” ski mountaineering.
